Choose a provider type

API providers use a remote service and may require a key. Local providers read database files on your server and need regular updates.

Safe provider switching

Switching providers never disables location blocking. Country rules continue. If the new provider does not support your regional rules, those controls are unavailable and a warning explains the limitation.
