Configure public blocking, a front-end rule override, responses, selected content, and bot protection.

Advanced mode Start with Simple mode

This panel controls public-facing requests. The public matching rule can follow the base Validation rules or use its own country and state or region list.

Public blocking and cache bypass are independent from the selected matching policy.

Blocked response and targets

Use All requests for site-wide protection. Specify targets only when the rule should apply to selected pages, post types, categories, or tags.

Bot protection

Use maintained presets first, then add explicit rules when needed. HOST allow rules require reverse DNS lookup to verify the crawler.

Group Controls Use
Public access Public blocking, page-cache bypass Turns public validation on and prevents compatible page caches from bypassing it.
Country matching Rule source, allow or block list Follows the base rule or defines a public-only rule.
Blocked response Response code, redirect URL, message Controls what blocked public visitors receive.
Request targeting All or selected content, debug exceptions Limits validation to selected content when required.
Bot protection Behavior limits, User-Agent rules, reverse DNS Applies crawler-specific allow and block policy.
