Regional rules use the administrative area returned by the provider. Depending on the country, that unit may be a state, province, prefecture, territory, or another region.

How regional rules work
- Create the country rule first.
- Use the administrative level offered for that country.
- Verify the exact area name on the Search tab before adding it.
- If another provider does not support regional precision, the country rule remains available as fallback.
The IP Location Block provider is prioritized automatically for regional rules. Read the current state or region guide.
