Why Upgrade Your API Key?
We’ve improved our API key encryption for better security. You need to upgrade your existing key once to continue using IP Location Block.
How to Upgrade
You’ll see a warning notice in your WordPress admin:
“IP Location Block: API Key Upgrade Required”
- Click “Upgrade API Key Now” button in the notice
- Submit the upgrade form (your API key is pre-filled)
- Return to WordPress and refresh the page
The notice will disappear automatically. The process takes less than 30 seconds.
Important Notes
- Your API key doesn’t change – You don’t need to update anything in your WordPress settings
- No service interruption – Your site continues working during the upgrade
- Multiple sites? You only need to upgrade once per API key
- Can’t dismiss the notice – It persists until you complete the upgrade
